Chronology of cameras Belomo
In Russian, Agat means Agate... except that this Agat is made of plastic and doesn't have much that's precious. However, it is unique. It's a half-frame camera.
Despite not being aesthetically pleasing, it is quite impractical. To load it, you need to separate the device along the vertical line, clearly visible in the photo. Closing it is even more challenging because the receiving coil moves and gets misaligned, making it difficult to position it in the two end stops. The aperture and sensitivity settings are concentric to the lens. The yellow collars are visible, but operating them is another story.
The lens is an Industar 104 2.8/28 mm. It is protected by a transparent cap. For the photo, I removed the strap to which a black plastic lens cap is attached.
The Agat 18 K replaces the Agat 18. The only change is the replacement of the transparent cap with a black cap attached to the strap.
The cap is no longer transparent but black and held by a cord. Is this an ironic effect of Glasnost?
